San Angelo ISD to Offer Free Meals to all Students for the 2021-2022 School Year

For the 2021-2022 school year, San Angelo ISD will offer healthy meals each school day to all students at no cost regardless of income eligibility. Typically, students will need to meet income eligibility requirements in order to qualify for free and reduced-price meals. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued guidance which allows San Angelo ISD to offer meals to all students at no cost for the 2021-2022 school year without applying for the free or reduced lunch benefit status. While no application or eligibility determination process is required for your student to receive free meals for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year, the income eligibility requirement will likely resume during the 2022-2023 school year.
