Community Notice: Law Enforcement Training Exercise

San Angelo ISD is sharing a community notice regarding a planned multi-agency training exercise scheduled for Friday, Jan. 23, at the Austin Professional Learning Center, formerly Austin Elementary School, located in the 700 block of North Van Buren.

The exercise is being led by the San Angelo Police Department in coordination with partner agencies, including San Angelo ISD. The purpose of the training is to enhance preparedness and strengthen coordinated responses to crisis situations.

As part of the planned exercise, community members may notice an increased presence of law enforcement and emergency personnel in the area, along with simulated gunfire used for training purposes. There is no threat to the public, and residents should not be alarmed.

San Angelo ISD values its strong partnership with local law enforcement agencies and appreciates their ongoing commitment to the safety and security of students, staff, and the broader community.
