Applications for Free and Reduced Lunches for 2024-2025 Open

Applications for Free and Reduced Lunches for 2024-2025 Open

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is a federally-assisted meal program that provides lunches to more than 3 million Texas children in school and residential child care institutions. Through the NSLP, families who qualify are eligible to receive a free or reduced-priced lunch meal for their student during the upcoming school year. Free universal breakfast will still be provided by SAISD each school day during the 2024-2025 school year.

To apply for free or reduced lunches for the 2024-2025 school year, simply complete this short, online application. We request all SAISD families complete this application to determine eligibility before the start of the school year on August 15th. Only one application needs to be completed per household. Your application may mean free or lower priced meals for your child, and more federal and state dollars directed to your child’s school and district. There are several factors that determine family eligibility for free or reduced lunches, so all families are encouraged to apply. Paper applications are also available at the Child Nutrition Services Office located at 305 Baker Street, San Angelo, Texas 76903.

Student eligibility numbers for schools are also a factor in school qualification for money for supplies and materials needed at the campus. Last year, money determined based on eligible applications helped fund SAISD campus programs like take-home to read book packs.

San Angelo ISD is committed to helping our students continue to have access to nutritious meals. For more information, contact the SAISD Child Nutrition Department at (325) 659-3615. We appreciate families taking the time to complete this important application. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. Please see our non-discrimination statement
