Boys take 2nd as girls finish in 4th

SA Times - The Central High School boys cross country team finished second, and the girls placed fourth Thursday at the Odessa Invitational. Odessa High won the boys team title with 66 points, nine points ahead of Central.

Bobby Hawes was fifth for Central in a time of 16:29, followed by Ethan Flores (sixth, 16:48); Joe Pena (12th, 17:11); Kevin Barr (19th, 17:28); Raymond Lopez (33rd, 17:59); Michael Brothers (35th, 18:04); and Marcelino Santillan (37th, 18:08).

Abilene High (41) won the girls title. Central finished with 91 points.

Individually, Alyssa Priest was ninth for Central with a time of 12:56, followed by Shelby Swartz (15th, 13:21); Bianca Rodriguez (21st, 13:30); Brianna Rodriguez (24th, 13:47); Alyssa Clement (27th, 13:50); Jordan Daigle (33rd, 14:06) and Jordan Boswell (40th, 14:17).
