SA Times - Even without one of their most dominant players, the Central High School volleyball team rolled over Odessa Permian 25-15, 25-16, 25-16 in Odessa on Saturday.

Middle hitter Stephanie Starnes was on a recruiting trip at Northeastern University in Boston and missed the match. Lyric Ross shifted over to replace Starnes in the lineup, and Mary Delaughter filled in for Ross.

Central coach Connie Bozarth praised the play of both girls, as well as Kaitlyn Standard, as the three led the No. 10 Lady Cats.

Central (26-5 overall and 3-1 in District 3-5A) travels to district-leading Midland Lee on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. game with the Lady Rebels.
