Lady Cats give Midland Lee taste of power SA Standard Time - The Central High School volleyball team moved into a tie for first place in District 3-5A after rallying for a 22-25, 25-18, 20-25, 25-22, 15-11 victory against Midland Lee in Midland on Tuesday. The Lady Cats improved to 27-5 overall and 4-1 in district play, while the Rebels dropped to 28-6 and 4-1. Central’s Regan Darby finished with 61 assists. “We didn’t play bad, we just didn’t play very inspired,’’ Central coach Connie Bozarth said. “(Lee) came out ready to play. It seemed closer than it was to me. We had zero blocks in Game 1. Then I challenged them in Game 2 and we had six. That was the difference. It made their hitters have to think a little bit and disrupted their offense. “In Game 4, I had no timeouts and I had one sub left. They just had to pull it out themselves. I had nothing left. I’m very proud of our offense and our hitters. They really were tough mentally.’’
