Cats Steamroll Bulldogs and Cooper

SA Times - The Central High School tennis team improved to 3-0 in District. 3-5A action after rolling past Midland High 17-2 in Midland on Tuesday. The Bobcats swept all nine matches on the boys’ side and went 7-2 on the girls’ side. Central also won the mixed doubles match. Central will return to action Oct. 2 when they travel to Abilene to take on Abilene Cooper.

The Central High School tennis team remained unbeaten in District 3-5A action after knocking off Abilene Cooper 15-4 Tuesday in Abilene. Central won all nine matches on the boys’ side. Cooper won three on the girls’ side and the mixed doubles match. The Bobcats will have Saturday off before hosting Abilene next Tuesday in a dual meet that should decide the district championship. Central will close out the regular season against Odessa Permian on Oct. 13
