Abilene Invitational brings 1st place for both the boys and girls teams This past weekend the Central girls swim team placed first at the Abilene Invitational. There were 12 teams entered in the meet and the lady cats finished 100 points ahead of 2nd place Odessa High. The girls 400 free relay of Andrea Majeski, Haleigh Williamson, Alex Porter, and Gabrielle Haynes placed first. Alex Porter was a double individual winner placing first in the 100 yard and 200 yard freestyle events other swimmers placing in the top four were Andrea Majeski finishing 3rd in the 100 free , Haleigh Williamson placing 4th in the 100 Back, and Gabrielle Haynes placing 4th in the 100 free. The Boys swim team also placed first at the Abilene Invitational . The boys team placed first in the 200 yard Medley relay with Daniel McClellan, Sebastian Haynes, Matt McLaughlin, and Zack Daniel. The 200 free relay also placed first with McClellan, Daniel, Vick Meyer, and John Hague. The 400 Free relay of Haynes, Daniel , Meyer, and McLaughlin also finished first. Individual winners incuded Matt McLaughlin in the 200 yard Individual Medley and Zach Daniel won the 100 Free. Other swimmers placing in the top 3 were Sebastian Haynesplacing 3rd in the 50 free and the 100 Breast. Daniel McClellan placed 2nd in the 100 Back and Matt McLaughlin place 2nd in the 100 Fly Great job Swimming Cats.
