At the first Latin Club meeting of the year, Luckenbach, the incoming sophomores get a chance to meet the upperclassmen and get to know them as everyone plays games and drinks root beer. At Luckenbach, officers and others dress up in their cowboy outfits. At most meetings Latin Clubbers have the chance and are encouraged to dress up.

At the Video Scavenger Hunt, Latin Clubbers drive around town in teams and try to complete a scavenger hunt, while recording it on a video camera. This event is fast paced and is very entertaining when the time comes to watch the videos.

The Halloween Party is traditionally held at Mrs. Srader's house. During this Latin Club event, students dress up in their Halloween costumes and go through a haunted house. The officers create the haunted house and work in it to scare the others. A best costume award is given out here as well, so most people dress up to join the fun.

The Progressive Dinner is a meal that consists of 4 courses held at 4 different houses throughout San Angelo. Students travel from house to house eating, conversing, and having a good time. The first course is appetizers, the second is salads, the third is the main course, and the last course is dessert.

The Secret Santa is another Latin Club event normally held at Mrs. Srader's lovely home. Before the event, during class, Latin Clubbers fill out an information sheet describing themselves and what they like, so their Secret Santa will know what kind of gift to get them. Then each person draws a name from a hat to determine who they will be a Secret Santa for. During the event, a gift exchange is held, and the Secret Santas reveal themselves.

At the Hay Ride, Latin Clubbers join together in the frigid cold of January, and ride through the neighborhoods of San Angelo on a hay ride. This event also consists of roasting marshmallows, eating hot dogs, and singing songs.

This Latin Club meeting is a favorite among Latin Clubbers. The Latin crew meets up in March and spends the evening bowling and just having a good time.

This Latin Club event was created this year and had dramatic success. At this meeting, Latin Clubbers dress up in their nicest togas and compete in a series of events that test the mind and the body. The first event is Latin Trivia. The competitors are asked a series of questions about Greek mythology. If they answered incorrectly they recieve a pie in the face. The next event is the Chariot Races. In this event a person is pulled on a "chariot" by two others. The final event is the "Battle of Troy." The seniors, juniors, and sophomores are given water guns, floating noodles, and splash bombs to duel with. The seniors battle against the juniors and sophomores in a fun and exciting water fight. An award for the best toga is also given out. This meeting is the most important meeting of the year because here the candidates for next year's officers give speeches explaining why they would be a good officer and why people should vote for them. Also at this meeting the "Gag" Awards are voted on. These awards vary from the "Best Cheater" to the "Best Whiner." The winners are announced at the Latin Club Banquet in May.

The Banquet is the final event of the year for Latin Club. We have this event to celebrate the great year and to honor the officers. The club says goodbye to the current officers and welcomes the new officers of the upcoming year. As sad as this evening of goodbyes is for the seniors, the presentation of the "Gag" Awards keeps everyone laughing. Also during the banquet, the current officers present Mrs. Srader with a gift to thank her for all the hard work she does for not only Latin Clubbers, but Latin at Central High School in general.
