Latin I is the beginning course in Latin which places emphasis on vocabulary development, basic grammar fundamentals, and translation of classical myths. Much attention is given to the study of prefixes, suffixes, and root words in the development of both English and Latin vocabularies. Consideration is given to the study of classical influences on Western culture.
