The
Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is a career and technology
student organization recognized by the United States Department
of Education that provides a unique program of leadership development,
motivation and recognition exclusively for secondary and postsecondary
collegiate students enrolled in Health Science Technology Education
programs. HOSA, TA (Texas Association) is a state charter of National
HOSA which consists of local chapters and members who are currently
enrolled in or associated with Health Science Technology Education
programs as conducted by or in secondary and postsecondary/collegiate
schools of Texas.
Central
HOSA is dedicated to serving San Angelo by pursuing health care
careers. HOSA members participate in numerous activities throughout
the year. For example, an exciting project has recently been started.
It is called the Penta-Project and Health Science Technology students
give free blood pressures at a local soup kitchen. HOSA members
also get to participate in competitions annually. |
